    Volunteer Agreement

    Furry Weekend Atlanta, Inc.
  • This Volunteer Agreement (“Agreement”) is made between Furry Weekend Atlanta Inc. ("FWA") and the undersigned volunteer ("Volunteer"). By signing this Agreement, the Volunteer acknowledges and agrees to the following terms:

    1. Volunteer Role & Expectations
      The Volunteer agrees to perform the duties assigned by FWA on a voluntary basis without compensation. The Volunteer agrees to adhere to the FWA’s policies, procedures, and code of conduct, as set forth in the FWA Attendee Policies.
    2. No Employment Relationship
      The Volunteer understands that they are not an employee of FWA and will not receive wages, compensation, economic benefits, or gifts for the Volunteer’s services.
    3. Confidentiality
      The Volunteer agrees to maintain the confidentiality of any sensitive information learned through their service and not to disclose such information without authorization.
    4. Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk
      The Volunteer understands that participation in volunteer activities may involve certain risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, or damage to personal property. By signing this Agreement, the Volunteer:
      1. Assumes full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages that may occur while volunteering.
      2. Releases and discharges FWA, its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates from any liability, claims, or demands arising out of the volunteer activities.
      3. Agrees to comply with all safety rules and procedures set by FWA.
    5. Medical Treatment
      In the event of an injury or medical emergency, the Volunteer authorizes FWA to seek medical care or treatment on the Volunteer’s behalf. The Volunteer acknowledges that they are responsible for any expenses incurred in connection with such medical care or treatment.
    6. Termination
      FWA or the Volunteer may terminate this Agreement at any time, with or without cause or notice.
    7. Miscellaneous
      1. Governing Law & Jurisdiction.  This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Georgia. The parties agree that any disputes related to this Agreement shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Fulton County, Georgia.
        Headings.  Headings used in this Agreement are for reference only and shall not have any legal effect.
      2. Entire Agreement. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between FWA and the Volunteer pertaining to those subjects contained in it and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous agreements, representations and understandings. The Volunteer acknowledges that they have not relied on any representations, promises, or agreements of any kind made to the Volunteer in connection with the Volunteer’s decision to accept this Agreement, except for those contained herein. It is expressly understood and agreed that this Agreement may not be altered, amended, or modified, except by a writing duly executed by all parties.
      3. Severability.  Each provision of this Agreement is intended to be severable. In the event a portion of this Agreement is held to be legally invalid by a competent court of law, the invalid portion shall be stricken and all other obligations shall remain valid and mutually binding on the parties and not be affected thereby. 
      4. Counterparts.  This Agreement may be executed in one or more counterparts (including counterparts which are copies, and which are sent by email, fax, or other method), each of which shall be deemed an original, and together shall constitute one and the same instrument.
  • I ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT I HAVE CAREFULLY AND FULLY READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREED TO THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT. I FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT I HAVE CHOSEN TO VOLUNTEER WITH FWA FOR PUBLIC SERVICE/COMMUNITY RELATIONS PURPOSES, AND I WILL NOT RECEIVE AND DO NOT EXPECT ANY WAGES, COMPENSATION, ECONOMIC BENEFITS, OR GIFTS FOR MY SERVICES.
