Thank you for your interest in joining The Stay Foundation Limited. Our volunteers are the heart of everything we do, from keeping pets safe, cared for, and connected with the families who love them.

By becoming a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real, practical difference in the lives of local pets and their guardians. There are many ways to get involved, depending on your skills, interests, and availability, including:

Food and supply delivery
Pet transport
Community outreach
Dog training
Event support and fundraising days
Social media and content creation, marketing
Administrative or behind the scenes support.......

Whether you can help once a month or once a week, your time and compassion help vulnerable pets stay exactly where they belong. Home, safe, and loved.

Please note that we are currently only operating within the Lower Hunter and Central Coast regions, and at this time our volunteer team is limited to these areas.

We would love for you to continue following our journey, as we are hopeful to expand the areas we service very soon and will be looking for dedicated volunteers like you as our programs grow.

If you are under 18 years of age, your parent or guardian must complete and lodge this volunteer form on your behalf and in their name in order to be registered as a volunteer with The Stay Foundation.

Your parent or guardian will then need to accompany you to all volunteering events and activities to ensure your safety, wellbeing, and provide direct supervision at all times.

Your parent or guardian must first notify The Stay Foundation in advance if they intend to bring you to a volunteering activity and must respect The Stay Foundation's decision if they determine that the event, environment, or role is not suitable for minors.

Your parent or guardian is responsible for your conduct at all times and must ensure that you follow all directions, safety guidelines, and instructions provided by The Stay Foundation’s staff and/or volunteers.

It protects you, the public we support, and The Stay Foundation by clearly outlining the standards of behaviour expected at all times. A key part of this Code is the requirement to maintain strict confidentiality. As a volunteer, you may become aware of personal, sensitive, or private information about clients, community members, or fellow volunteers. Protecting this information is critical. It safeguards the dignity and safety of the people we assist and upholds the integrity of our organisation.
