  • 2025 Highland Lakes Challenge

    REGISTRATION FORM | Race Dates: October 24, 25, 26, 2025
  • EVENT FORMAT: This year's Highland Lakes Challenge will take place Fri/Sat/Sun, October 24th on Lake Travis (Spicewood), 25th on LBJ (Kingsland), and the 26th on Lake Marble Falls (City Park at Bridge). Note: Location of swim for Day 1 (10/24) has been switched from Inks Lake to Lake Travis due to last minute notification that Inks water level will be drawn down too low for safe swimming.

    Distances are approximate . . . but, pretty darn close (below).

    EVENTS:

    • Weekend Warrior (enters you in all 3)
      • Day 1: Lake Travis — 3.5mi  (5.6k) 
      • Day 2: Lake LBJ — 2.2mi  (3.5k)
      • Day 3: Marble Falls — 3.4mi (5.5k)

    • Stage Races
      • Daily Single Stages (cited above)
      • Day 2 (Lake LBJ) offers a "Short Loop" — 1.2mi (2k)

    ELIGIBILITY: Open to Adults 18 and older. Youth (14-17 years old) with approval of Race Director.  All swimmers required to wear an open water swim buoy (tow behind type).

    COURSES: We do our best to stick with the plan & our goal remains to provide you with a challenging swim. This said, all courses subject to change depending on lake conditions & logistical circumstances.

    ENTRY FEES: Entry fees/deadlines below. A slight credit card processing fee will show up on your submission. Entry includes swim cap & course support.  All fees are: non-refundable, non-transferable, non-deferrable. 

    • "Earlybird" Entry thru 8/26 — Weekend Warrior: $310 / Stage: $110
    • "On-Time" Entry 8/27 thru 9/26 — Weekend Warrior: $325 / Stage: $115
    • "Late" Entry thru 9/27 thru 10/12 — Weekend Warrior: $340 / Stage: $125
    • "Last-Minute" Entry 10/13 thru race — Weekend Warrior: $360 / Stage: $130

              RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS, EXPRESS ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT. PLEASE READ BEFORE AGREEING & BE CERTAIN YOU UNDERSTAND THE IMPLICATIONS OF AGREEING.

              Member Conduct

              In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way, I acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that I have read and agree to abide by the  RULES/POLICIES and I affirm my understanding and agree to the following:

              1. Participants are expected to conduct themselves with integrity and in a manner consistent with Winning Isn't Normal® (W.I.N.) Events (formerly known as: American Swimming Association [ASA])  Rules and with the intent of the rules. It is the responsibility of the swimmer to see to it that the results reflect a fair and honest competition in strict accordance with these rules. As such, the swimmer is responsible for knowing W.I.N. EVENTS rules and adhering to them. 

              2. Upon completion of a swim, if a swimmer is aware that any portion of his swim was performed in contravention to the rules, the swimmer shall report the violation to the referee for the purpose of disqualification. The swimmer shall see to it that the non-conforming swim is ineligible for awards and records and does not appear in the results unless denoted as having been disqualified.

              Express Assumption of Risk Associated with Sport, Venue Use and Related Activities

              The risk of injury from the activities involved in this particular program is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce the risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; and, in consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in any W.I.N. EVENTS and activities, I acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that:

              2. I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the releasees or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and,

              3. I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If however, I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and,

              4. I, for myself and on behalf of my Heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS WIN & ASA EVENTS, their officers, officials, agents and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event ("Releasees") with respect to any and all injury, disability, deathe, or loss or damage to person or property whether arising from the negligence of the releasees or otherwise. 

              5. I understand that all fees are: non-refundable, non-transferable, non-deferrable.

              I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND IT’S TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.
