  • The Palos Verdes Assembly Parent Interest Finder

The Palos Verdes Assembly is a non-profit, volunteer organization supported by the efforts of both members and parents.

We welcome parent participation as either a chaperone at our monthly dances, or you may apply to be a Patroness.  For more information about Patroness responsibilities, please visit our website and see the "Patronesses" tab. http://pvassembly.org/c_patronesses.aspx  You do not need to apply to be a Patroness to be a chaperone at a dance.  There will be an opportunity at the September Orientation meeting to sign up to be a dance chaperone.

PLEASE NOTE THAT VOLUNTEERING TO BE A PATRONESS WILL NOT IMPACT YOUR CHILD'S APPLICATION IN ANY MANNER.  We welcome your application, but it does not give your child an "advantage" in being selected for membership.

A group of about forty adults, collectively called Patronesses, administer, organize and host the activities of The Palos Verdes Assembly. Generally, Patronesses serve through the duration of their child's membership (usually 4 years). General Patroness meetings are held 5 times a year, typically on Monday evenings, and many postions require an additional time commitment outside of the Patroness meetings. Patronesses serve in two capacities: (1) in a General Operations position, and (2) in a Presentation Ball position. Patronesses are required to work a shift for the Presentation Ball which is typically held the first Saturday in May.

  • If you are applying to be considered for a Patroness position, the following opportunities to help are available. Please let us know your special interest or skills:
