Rallye length is 3 days and 2 nights from Friday October, 31st through Sunday, November 2nd. Rallye Start will be Friday morning just outside of Charlotte, NC and Rallye end will be lunch Sunday afternoon just outside of Robbinsville, NC covering right around 1,000 miles. Friday Night & Saturday Night will be spent in Calhoun, GA with a group hotel block available for the first 15 teams to complete registration. The group hotel rooms are double queen bed studio suites (includes kitchenette etc.), and will be the location of our night cap campfire talks each evening. There are multiple other lodging options beyond the group hotel within walking distance of each other for anyone that wants to make other accomodations but still stay near the group.
Event timing has been planned for the best chances to put us in the mountains of North Georgia and Alabama during peak/near peak fall foliage. While there will be sections of highway/interstate to connect areas most of the curated route will be on scenic/twisty backroads. Many of these backroads can be very technical (fun) and will require you to be well rested/alert so please plan accordingly. A free hot breakfast will be available for those staying at the group hotel, and we will also be frequenting Buc-ee's allowing for plenty of morning food options. Each day unique lunch accomodations will be recommended for the group, and then group dinner suggestions for the evenings. Fuel/Pit Stop recommendations are also provided to ensure breaks every hour and a half or so of driving.
All teams will be provided with a route card that includes all GPS points required to follow the curated route allowing you to choose what pace you want to take throughout the day. We do use radios for group communication and strongly advise bringing one along for this event. Recommendations/Suggestions are provided for lodging, pitstops, food, etc. and we advise taking advantage of them. However nothing recommended is considered mandatory, leaving you to adjust your plans for the day accordingly. You/your team are responsible for your lodging, food, fuel, and any other costs incurred during the Rallye. This event is a rallye not a race, and all local/federal laws must be followed/obeyed. By submitting this registration form you are confirming you (and your co-driver if applicable) are 18 years or older, licensed/insured, and are solely responsible for any accidents/incidents occuring while driving or otherwise before/during/after the event. Minors under the age of 18 are allowed as passengers but must be supervised by an adult at all times. Last but not least please make sure your vehicle is well maintained/ready for over 1,000 miles of travel and you have a contingency plan for any breakdowns etc.
