  • We can only accept goods which we can directly place on the shop floor and sell to the public.

    As a general rule, furniture which is damaged cannot be sold. Electrical items must work, soft furnishings cannot be ripped or torn, items can't be excessively dirty, or have been soiled. If you need guidance, please call 615055 or email donations@hospiceshops.com

  • Do all soft furnishings have fire labels attached and meet health & safety requirements?

    We are only able to sell upholstered items if they have a fire label attached. A fire label certifies that the label meets UK fire safety standards. A fire safety label will be permanently attached to the item, usually sewn or stapled to it. If you're not sure about fire labels, please call 615055 or email donations@hospiceshops.com

  • We're sorry, as a charity we can only accept items that we can sell to raise money. This means we can't take unsaleable items, items without fire labels or items from non smoke free homes. Due to health and safety considerations we are additionally unable to collect items by any other access other than ground floor or via a lift large enough for your donated items.
