Local Scrap Metal Company is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Experienced Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the logistics process by ensuring the accurate and timely handling of incoming and outgoing shipments. This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to operate various equipment, and a commitment to maintaining efficient operations within our Facility.

Duties

• Load and unload shipments using forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Utilize RF scanners for tracking inventory and managing stock levels.
• Accurately pick and pack orders according to specifications.
• Maintain an organized workspace to ensure efficient workflow.
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists or invoices.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in stock management.
• Operate order pickers as needed for retrieving items from storage.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations while handling materials.

Qualifications

• 3-5 Years experience in Shipping & Receiving
• Proficient in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers.
• Familiarity with RF scanners for inventory tracking is highly desirable.
• Basic math skills for accurate counting and measurement of items.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
