  • Tina Lillig Memorial Fund - Application for Financial Assistance

The Tina Lillig Memorial Fund offers partial scholarships to applicants who find paying the full tuition of a formation course to be a hardship. Grants are also available for missionary outreach to organizations to open and support atria communities with financial need.
  • Review and Award Timelines

Awards and subsequent disbursements are made twice per year. Any applications not received by the dates required will be held and evaluated during the next cycle.

The Spring due date is April 30th, and disbursements are made by June 30th. The Fall due date is October 30th, and disbursements are made by December 30th. All applications received after April 30th will be considered in the Fall review period. Likewise, all applications received after October 30th will be considered in the Spring review period.

Applications for courses with summer start dates must be received before April 30th to be considered before the start of summer courses.

  • What is the "Atrium of Service?"

If applying for tuition assistance, this is the atrium where you will serve as a catechist after the catechist formation. If applying for a materials grant, this is the atrium that will benefit from the materials crafted. If applying for a formation leader stipend, this is the atrium that is intended to host the course. In general, the Atrium of Service is where you, the applicant, will apply the benefits of the grant.

  • A Note about Tuition and Tuition Assistance:

Total tuition includes deposits, but does not include room, board, books, or any travel costs. Remember scholarship awards are limited to one-third of the total cost of tuition. Please be aware that we may not be able to meet all of your needs. CGSUSA recommends that applicants apply for scholarship assistance for the total tuition cost (rather than one part only) and comitt to attending the complete course.  Should an applicant not complete the entire course, the applicant and the hosting site will need to coordinate to return the unused portion of any awarded scholarship to CGSUSA for reallocation.  Unfortunately, scholartions cannot be transferred from one course attendee to another.
