The Nutcracker Christmas Parade

presented by the Mercer County Chamber of Commerce. Parade starts at 6:30pm on Friday, Dec. 5th downtown Harrodsburg, KY. Please fill out the registration form to participate with your float/group/entry. We would love to have participants join in the Nutcracker theme if possible.

Rules and Regulations:

Last date to enter is Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025. Entry fee $20 for all non-chamber members. Entries will line up in the Fort Harrod Parking lot located on W. Lexington Street. You will turn in on Hill/Fort Street entrance. Parade route will begin at parking lot and end at parking lot. Participants may begin arriving at 4:30pm.

Entries must observe all applicable rules and regulations or be barred from the parade. The Mercer County Chamber of Commerce, parade committee and Harrodsburg Police Department reserve the right to remove from the
parade, either prior to assembly, at assembly or at any time during the parade any entrant not conforming to these rules and regulations or any entrant refusing to
follow the instructions of police or parade officials.

Regulations forbid materials and candy to be thrown out during the parade. This
is a safety requirement and will be enforced. You may have walkers handing out candy/materials to observers.

Alcoholic beverages are prohibited on or in any entry and no consumption of alcohol by parade participants will be allowed prior to or during the parade.

All entries must be in good taste and promote the goal of community spirit and civic pride. No entry shall display material offensive or discriminatory to any race, religion, sex, national origin, age or marital status.

Neither driver nor passengers may exit the vehicle during the parade!

Vehicles must be properly licensed and be driven by a licensed driver.
IN CONSIDERATION of being permitted to participate in the Mercer County Chamber of Commere Nutcracker Parade and/or other activities relating to the Parade in Harrodsburg, Kentucky (hereinafter referred to as the “Parade”, I, for myself, my organization, my fellow members of this organization, and their employees, volunteers, agents, successors, assigns, heirs and next of kin: (hereinafter referred to as the “Parade Entry”),

1. HEREBY RELEASE WAIVE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE the Parade, the City of Harrodsburg, The Mercer County Chamber of Commerce, the Mercer County Nutcracker Parade committee, Parade sponsors and/or all Parade participants and the directors, officers, employees or agents of the foregoing (hereinafter referred to as “Releases”), from all liability to me, my personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin for any and all loss or damage, and any claim or demands therefore on account of injury to my person or property or resulting in death, whether caused by the negligence of the Releases or otherwise while I am observing, working for or participating in the Parade (including but not limited to, all preparations, therefore the Parade itself, all incidental activities including pre-Parade and post-Parade activities);

2. HEREBY AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND SAVE AND HOLD HARMLESS the Releases and each of them from any loss, liability, damage, or costs they may incur due to my presence in any way observing, or working for, or participating in the Parade (including, but not limited to, all preparations, therefore the Parade itself, all incidental activities including pre-Parade and post-Parade activities), and whether caused by the negligence of the Releases or otherwise;

3. HEREBY ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY RISK OF BODILY HARM, DEATH due to the negligence of Releases or otherwise while observing, or working for, or participating in the Parade (including, but not limited to, all preparations, therefore the Parade itself, all incidental activities including pre-Parade and post-Parade activities). I expressly acknowledge and agree that the activities of the Parade (including, but not limited to, all incidental activities including pre-Parade and post-Parade activities) are dangerous and involve the risk of serious injury and/or death and/or property damage. I further expressly agree that the forgoing release, waiver, and indemnity agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the laws of the State of Kentucky, and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, in full legal force and effect.

I HAVE READE AND VOLUNTARILY SIGN THE RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT, and further agree that no oral representation, statements, or inducements apart from the forgoing written agreement have been made, and that this Release is being relied upon by the Parade in permitting my organization to participate in this Parade. I also represent that I am authorized to sign this document on behalf of myself and/or my organization.
