How much can you put towards a haircut right now? Karma Cuts are offered on a sliding scale. Any answer is acceptable whether that’s a little or nothing at all. IT DOES NOT EFFECT whether you will be accepted or not! However being able to offset some of the cost helps me offer more appointments each month and extend this care to more members of the community.

How would you describe your hair density?This refers to how many hairs are clustered together on the scalp. Sometimes people describe this as thick or thin

Extremely High Density (can barely see the scalp, hair is difficult to part)

High Density (can see a sliver of scalp when hair is parted)

Very Low Density (can see scalp through hair without parting)

Medium Density (can see some scalp when hair is parted)

Low Density (can clearly see scalp/has a wide part)

How would you describe your hair shape? Pick your most dominant shapes, as it is common to have multiples shapes throughout.Commonly referred to as "Hair Type" such as 4C, 2B, 3A etc. this refers to the shape of your hair strands

Zigzag, very close together z shape

Coily, resembles a small tight spring

Corkscrew, clearly spirals fully around and springy

Spirals, curls make full ringlets but move loosely

Loose curl shapes, not really spirals but more than waves

S Wave, hair makes a clear s curl shape down the length

Waves, soft waves, sometimes mistakenly for "poofy" hair when brushed straight

What is your hair diameter?This refers to the width of EACH INDIVIDUAL strand and not all your hair as a whole.

Thick, a single strand feels heavier and is very clearly visible

Fine, a single strand feels thin or wispy and is not easy to see on its own

Moderate, a single strand does not feel particularly thick or heavy but is more visible

How long is your hair currently?When your hair is dry in its most typical shape (curly if you wear it curly, straight if straight, etc)

Very Short (shave, crop, fade, above ears, close hugging head shape, twa)

Short (pixie, microbob, short bob, hair is not longer than the hair line or the hollows of the cheeks)

Medium (bixie, bob, mullet, short shags, longest point is somewhere between the jaw and collarbone)

Medium Long (lob, shag, touching shoulders and no longer than the armpit)

Long (falls to the shoulder blades to bottom of the ribcage)

Very Long (waist to tailbone and beyond)

How would you describe your hair porosity?This refers to how your hair absorbs and retains water

Low Porosity (hair takes awhile to saturate and takes over 6 hrs to air dry)

Medium Porosity (hair saturates easily and takes 2-6 hours to air dry)

High Porosity (hair seems to instantly saturate and takes less than 2 hours to air dry)

I personally review each application and make selections based on need, availability, and whether my services are a good fit for what you're looking for. It’s important to me that each appointment feels supportive and aligned for both of us.
I reach out by email the 1st week of every month when Karma Cut appointments open to schedule for that month.

For example if you fill this out April 15th, I will be reaching out May 1st through 7th by email to let you know if you were or were not accepted.
