Where did I go wrong?
My horse walked into the arena and it's anxiety shot up. I noticed it put its head up and fixated outside of the arena. So I calmly stood there with it and did some head lowering lessons to get its head down to help it relax.

I could have interrupted the horse's gaze to become more present so that it can begin to focus and process it's environment.
I should have interrupted the horse's gaze and got it to focus on me until it connected and softened with me.
I should have lunged it in a circle, until it became quieter.
