Art Center Artist Gallery Page Information Form

This form is intended to provide ALL information the webadmin will need to create a page for you as a "showing artist" who is part of the San Marcos Art Center. Please review some of the other pages featured at https://www.sanmarcosartcenter.com/showing-artists to get an idea of what pages will look like. Your page will feature an artists statement, website and social media links and up to 5 images of your art.

The default Gallery Page has the Artist's statement or information text begin with "About the Artist..." But that is not required. Some text is in the first person, others are in the third, there is not set format since we know each artist has a different style. There is no limit on the amount of text, but consider what will be read. If your text has spacing or separate paragraphs, be sure that this is included in the entry below. You can use the Rich Text editor to change the font size or format but in the Showing Artist Gallery Page, all text will be in the default font of the website, so don't bother to change the font family. If you copy/paste your text into the field, be sure to check that the result looks right, since the formatting of the text in this box is what the webadmin will consult.
Artists Statement*
The images used on your Gallery Page will include an image that shows as a thumbnail on the Showing Artists page. Many artists use the image as the feature image on their Gallery Page, so if this is your plan, please click "feature image" below the image for the link to your page the Showing Artists page. Up to four other images can be selected. Below each image, please check the box to indicate how you would like them placed on your page.

To properly display in the Squarespace system, please upload images that are compliant with their requirements. You can learn more here
- Image size - 2500 pixels width is ideal in most cases
- File format - Only .jpg, .gif, or .png
- File size - 20 MB limit
- File name - Only use letters, numbers, underscores, and hyphens.

Using the file names, please describe where each image is shown in relation to the text. For example "as a gallery above the text" or "SeaDream.jpg inserted between the two paragraphs", etc.
Please give us your Social Media Handles (up to four). Use the first blank to indicate the social media tool (e.g. Intagram, facebook, tumblr, etc.) and the second to share your handle. We will include this on your Gallery Page and also share it with our social media manager to include you in any promotions.
