Hydrostatic Testing Policy for Oxygen Cylinders
All oxygen cylinders must undergo hydrostatic testing every five (5) years before they can be refilled. This critical safety test ensures each cylinder can safely contain its maximum fill pressure.
Pickering Safety will send any cylinder due for hydrostatic testing to a certified facility. If your tank requires testing, it will be certified during the testing process prior to being refilled.
Cylinders that fail the hydrostatic test must be permanently removed from service. If this occurs, the cylinder will be recycled.
Charges for hydrostatic testing, if required, as well as any applicable recycling fees, will be included on your final invoice. Any charges for replacement parts identified as necessary during the inspection process will also be added to your final invoice. For your convenience, an oxygen services fee schedule is provided below to ensure full transparency of our pricing.
Payment Terms
Clients without prior credit approval will be required to submit payment before the serviced oxygen tanks can be released. For clients with approved credit, payment is due in full within 30 days from the date of the invoice (Net 30).
Terms of Sale
All Pickering Safety products and services are sold FOB at the shipping point. Payment terms are calculated from invoice date. A service charge of 1.5% per month will be charged on all past-due invoices. This is an annual percentage rate of 18%. If the Applicant fails to abide by the TERMS OF SALE contained herein, Pickering Safety reserves the right to discontinue and eliminate any price discounts or sales incentives offered to or in place with the Applicant, both retroactively and for future sales unless otherwise negotiated by the parties. Deductions from payments for any reason will not be allowed unless Pickering Safety has issued a credit memo. All incentives and credits issued by Pickering Safety are personal to the account holder and are not transferable or assignable. An account must employ qualified personnel who have been certified to properly service and fit the equipment (where necessary). Pickering Safety may refuse to ship any confirmed order in whole or in part for any reason it deems sufficient.
