Please read the following and confirm that your child qualifies for the program
- Not a fit if your child:
  - Shows daily or severe self-injurious behavior (e.g., hitting themselves, biting, head-banging).
    
    Low-level or occasional behaviors may be acceptable if they’re predictable and can be redirected easily.
  - Has frequent aggression or large emotional outbursts
  - Requires one-on-one support to stay safe or follow directions in a group setting

- Skills your child should have:
  - Communication: Can speak in full sentences and respond to questions
  - Group Participation:
    
    Can sit and listen to a group leader for 10–15 minutes
    
    Can transition between activities with minimal support
    
    Can be around a small group (3–6 peers) without becoming overwhelmed
  - Self-Help Skills: Can use the bathroom, manage hygiene, and handle snack/lunch routines independently
  - Willingness to Join In: Is motivated—or at least open—to socializing and learning new skills
  - Understanding of Group Rules: Can follow structure similar to what’s expected in school, including having age-appropriate conversations and behaving respectfully
- To ensure the best experience for all participants, our team carefully reviews each registration. If we determine that a different setting may better support a teen’s needs, we will be unable to offer a spot in the group and will issue a full refund.
