Helping on Election Day - Saturday 3rd May

  • Election Day Roles

    Booth Captain Role

The key responsibility of the booth captain is to organise people at the booth to hand out how to vote cards. Ideally, this means one or preferably two people per two hour shift. People can have longer shifts if they like.

It may also involve setting the booth up (putting up signs and bunting the evening before) and dismantling it (alternative arrangements can be made if you are not able to do this); collecting the booth kit and checking in to make sure there are enough how to vote cards.

You can be booth captain for more than one booth.

Please volunteer if you can do some or all of these tasks – we can help you find people to work on the booth.

    Volunteer Role

Help hand out how to vote cards to the public and other general tasks.

It is a fun day – and there is always the promise of a democracy sausage or cake from the cake stall!

  • Your Election Day Booth & Slots

Please select your preferred booth and the times that you will help.

The polling booths are listed in order of importance from most to least votes
    at the last election.

Ideally we would like each of the booths to be staffed all day. We may have to move you between booths, so you may not always get your first choice. Thanks
