Workshop Proposals for Ft. Collins 2026
The 54th Annual NASBR will be held in Ft. Collins, Colorado, USA from 14 - 17 October 2026 and the local organizing committee and NASBR are calling for workshop and symposium proposals. Workshops and symposia may be proposed by individuals or groups of up to three organizers. Workshops and symposia should provide opportunities for attendees to learn new techniques or approaches, or to be immersed in a topical area.
Workshop & Symposia Details
Workshops may occur on Wednesday 14 October (full or half day), lunch time workshops (1.5 - 2hr, Thursday - Saturday) and symposia can occur on either Friday the 16 or Saturday the 17 of October. For workshops, please propose a desired time frame, minimum and maximum number of participants, cost, and room (or alternative location if not at the Hotel) and AV/electrical (computer, cords, projector, microphones, etc.) needs when submitting your proposal. The Program Directors and Local Hosts will do their best to accommodate preferences but final timing and acceptance will depend on balancing space and schedule commitments. Symposia should follow the normal time block for sessions (6 - 8, 15 minute slots [1.5 - 2 hrs]). In your proposal, please include if you desire a panel or working group session, and how long that may be. Additionally, you must include the name, contact information and confirmation of presenting for each speaker. Note: If the speaker desires to give an additional talk outside of the special symposium, please note that in the application.
Deadlines and Cost
The submission deadline for workshop proposals is 27 March 2026. Workshop and symposium organizers are encouraged to seek funds that could support participation by presenters or subsidize costs of participation by workshop attendees. If such opportunities are available, please describe these in your proposal. Please note, we will always require a nominal registration fee to cover the cost of AV and food and beverage costs for workshops occurring in the hotel - additional costs associated with the workshop itself will be added to the nominal fee.
