REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)
Introduction:
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is seeking information from eligible parties regarding participation in an upcoming funding opportunity under the Electric Vehicle Charger Reliability and Accessibility Accelerator (EVC-RAA) grant program.
The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is for MDOT to gain relevant insight and feedback from potential applicants to inform a future Request for Proposal (RFP) for the repair and replacement of your electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
Background:
The EVC-RAA program provides funding to eligible parties to improve the availability and reliability of existing EV chargers and support the transition to EV’s across Michigan’s communities. Sites that participate in the program will be required to meet Title 23 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 680, which, at a high-level, includes the following:
- A minimum of four networked charging ports at each charging station.
- Average annual uptime of greater than 97% for each charging port.
- Minimum of five years of operations and maintenance.
Sites that are eligible to participate in the program are provided on MDOT's EVC-RAA Planning Map.
Requested Information:
We invite interested parties, including but not limited to private companies, local governments, electric utilities, non-profit organizations, and other eligible entities, to complete Attachment A.
MDOT will utilize responses received to inform the upcoming RFP development process, help eliminate potential barriers from participation, and streamline the process to apply for funding. Please note that this RFI is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a formal application for funding.
