Tinworks Art Volunteer Opportunities - Spring 2025

June 1, drop in anytime 12pm - 6pm at Tinworks Art - Rock Removal & Site Cleanup Party. Join us in prepping the field at Tinworks for a living art installation. We will be collecting and removing rocks from the field, as well as doing a general site cleanup in preparation of this year's exhibition season. We recommend dressing for changing weather conditions, wearing sunscreen and hats, and bringing your own work gloves. Bring your family, neighbors, or gather a group of folks together to volunteer! Snacks and drinks will be provided. Rock music playlist recommendations welcome for this session. Any and all number of volunteers welcome!
June 14, 10am-6pm & June 15, 10am-2pm at Tinworks Art - Sunflower Field Planting Day. We are looking for help in preparing and planting the Tinworks field for a field of sunflowers by artist Agnes Denes. This includes tilling the soil and hand planting sunflowers in a specific design determined by the artist. Several different kinds of sunflowers will be planted. Tools and equipment provided. We will have some gloves on hand for volunteers, but we recommend bringing your own if you have some. Dress for changing weather conditions and getting dirty! Sunscreen and hats recommended. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
July 30, 4-8pm at Tinworks Art - We are looking for creative volunteers to face paint during the Northside Summer Stroll. The event runs 4-8pm and is neighborhood-wide with sales and celebrations. We will have a set number of designs for people to choose from to streamline the process. Face painting is free for all with Tinworks Art donations welcome to those who choose. Face paint and brushes provided.
