Penguin Encounter Additional Dates

Immerse yourself in a once in a lifetime experience where you will be face to face with our colony of African Penguins. One of our trained zookeepers will provide answers and in depth information about our feathered friends and their wild counterparts during an up-close and personal feed session.

Approximately 45-60 minutes

* Encounters must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance

Encounter Rules:

Guests must be 18+ to attend without an adult chaperone
Closed toe shoes must be worn
Long pants are recommended
No food or drink in the encounter area
No loose or free hanging jewelry or accessories
All bags, wagons, strollers, or accessories will be left outside the encounter area
Guests must remain seated for the duration of the encounter
Guests must refrain from touching or reaching at the penguins
Guests must refrain from yelling or making fast motions
Personal photos and videos are welcome. No live streaming or live calls during the encounter
Young children must be able to sit unassisted or be held during the encounter, no infant seats will be permitted

Rescheduling and Cancellations:

Encounters are weather and temperature dependent and are subject to cancellation or rescheduling under these circumstances. We will make all efforts to reschedule your encounter, however, rescheduling an encounter is not guaranteed.
Encounters are subject to cancellation for disruptive or unsafe behavior, no refunds will be provided.
