  • 2026 Chapman Student Exchange Program Application

    This application is for consideration to be selected for an international travel experience through the Fort Wayne Sister Cities International Chapman Student Exchange Program.
  • Basic Program & Application Information

    All applications must be received no later than 11:59pm on October 1, 2025. Applications received after this due date cannot be accepted.
  • Ideal candidates have the following qualifications:

    • 10th and 11th grade high school student (2025-2026 School Year)
    • GPA of 2.5 or higher
    • Strong Community Involvement
    • Leadership Experience
    • Interest in International Exchange
    • Availability to travel in June or July 2026
    • Current student or resident of Allen County, Indiana.

    All applicants will receive a submission confirmation email. Please note if you do not receive a confirmation email, then we may not have received your application and a new application should be submitted.

    All applicants will receive an email by October 27, 2025 regarding their application status. Decisions will not be shared prior to this date.

    Travel may not be deferred or given to another person. No students will receive direct funds through this program for booking individual travel.

    Selected students will travel on the FWSCI Chapman Committee approved itinerary (approximately three weeks in length) with a small group of student travelers including at least one adult chaperone. During parts of the programming, students may share a hotel room, hostel, apartment room, and/or other accommodations with other students of the same gender. For safety reasons, students are not permitted single rooms while in program accomodations. This program includes a homestay with a family, this is typically a single student with a family residing in or near our sister city of travel. Students may stay in housing that is traditional for the sister city and it's surrounding areas.

    Students must complete the entire program and will forfeit their programming if they are unavailable for any part of the programming. Students may not shorten, extend, or change the departure or return airports provided for their programming. Student travelers are responsible for transportation to/from the departure airport unless otherwise noted.
