This winter, Firelight Festival returns to Docklands with an unforgettable celebration of music, food, and dazzling light installations. And for the first time ever, boat owners are invited to become a shining part of the spectacle!
Join the inaugural Light the Night Boat Display and showcase your vessel in lights as part of this exciting new tradition. It’s your chance to light up the water, wow the crowds, and compete for the Firelight Festival People’s Choice Award – complete with a fantastic prize pack!
Whether you're in it for the glory, the fun, or the lights, this is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of Melbourne’s most vibrant winter festival. Don’t miss your moment to shine!

Friday 4th July to Sunday 6th July 5.30pm - 10.30pm
What you need to do
Light up your boat with fairy lights, festoons or whatever lights you can think of. Get creative and make your boat bold, bright and beautiful.
Keep your lights on throughout the event so the attendees can vote for their favourite display. You will also have the opportunity to participate in a festive flotilla lap of the Harbour with a fleet of lit up vessels impressing the thousands of attendees enjoying the festival.
