    • Deepen your understanding of God’s Word and calling
    • Identify and activate your spiritual gifts
    • Learn how to minister with integrity, compassion, and boldness
    • Discover how to serve effectively—whether preaching, teaching, leading, or simply showing up for others with the heart of Christ.

Answer the call. Step into your assignment. The Kingdom needs your “yes.”

     Blessings,

  • Introductory Questions:

  • The New Testament makes it clear that the primary task of the minister/leader is to serve and assist the set leader.  It is to the set leader that the minister looks for guidance and help in handling the affairs of the church.

The entire church body will feel the positive effects of a strong and trusting relationship between the set leader and designated leadership.  Ministers/leaders must embrace the vision of the set leader and be able to articulate their teaching.  The harmony that exists in this relationship will be contagious to the membership of the church.

  • What is the Minister in Training Program?

The Minister in Training (MIT) Program is a comprehensive discipleship and leadership development course designed to prepare individuals for effective ministry and service. Rooted in biblical teaching and practical instruction, the program helps participants grow in spiritual maturity, understand their unique calling, and operate in their God-given gifts. It equips emerging leaders—whether preaching, teaching, or serving in everyday spaces—with the tools and character needed to serve faithfully in the Kingdom of God.

What is the need for the MIT program?

Recognizing that much of what is learned in ministry is caught versus taught, “hands-on” experience is a necessity. The MIT program is designed to facilitate the minister-in-training toward a greater level of ministerial experience so that he/she may become intimately acquainted with the internal workings of the overall ministry as well as acquire skills that may be necessary for when and if he/she is sent out from the ministry to supply or plant. Those sensing a call to ministry, having had their call validated by the Senior pastor or the board of directors, will be required to enroll in and complete introductory-level courses prior to being licensed.

What are the qualifications and requirements of the MIT program?

A Minister-in-training must demonstrate and maintain character that is above reproach consistent with the biblical expectations of leadership found in scripture (1 Timothy 3:1-12; Titus 1:5-9; Acts 14:23; Jeremiah 45:5; Philippians 3:12-15; 1 Thessalonians 2:1-20). This person must have a servant’s heart and a teachable spirit demonstrated by continued spiritual growth and increasing competence in ministry. He/she should be able to describe and explain God’s leading (or calling) of them into ministry as well as the practices of spiritual disciplines that encourage daily growth.

The Minister-in-training must have applied for entrance into the program by filling out an application form accompanied by a personal statement of faith, resume, letters of recommendation, and subscription to the Statement of Faith.

    Course Meeting Dates

Oct 11, Nov 8th, Dec 6th, 2025 and Feb 7th, 2026. One additional day may be added if needed.
