    The City of Bowling Green recognizes the importance and desire for Complete Streets in our community. As a participant of the Complete Streets Learning Academy, the City of Bowling Green is navigating avenues to increase connectivity and safety across our transportation network. The intersection at Scottsville Rd/Broadway Ave and Smallhouse Road/Covington St is an area where we believe improvements can be made to keep drivers and pedestrians safe. Please join us in this survey to assess the need for safer roadways not only for drivers, but for cyclists and pedestrians alike!

  • This image above depicts a quick build project to make the Scottsville Rd/Broadway Ave and Smallhouse Rd/Covington St intersection safer for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians alike. The quick build proposes the addition of new crosswalk markings at the intersection and sidewalk extensions on either side of Broadway to make crosswalk buttons more accessible.  Traffic posts will be added along the pedestrian island on Broadway to add symmetry to the roadway. Colorful paint will be used on multiple crosswalk corners to increase awareness.
