Read and follow the instructions carefully prior to submitting your application. All awardees will be notified on or before the 30th of August 2025.
Eligibility:
1. Open to Second year and later enrolled students studying to achieve an accredited Associates, Baccalaureate, Masters, or Doctorate level degree program in or more of the following areas. History, Language, Viticulture and Enology (VEN), Wine Studies. Or Arts, Literature or Music that relates to the Celtic Culture.*
2. Must be an Oregon Resident with a minimum of six Months under the qualification criteria established by the Oregon DMV. (1)
3. Must have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 Unweighted. Or a 2.75 if applying for the MA or PhD program.
4. Must be willing to commit to sharing the experience of the impact of the award on your educational pursuit at the annual event titled “The Burns Supper.” This event is held annually in McMinnville Oregon typically during the third or fourth week in January. If the applicant is unable to physically attend the event, then a commitment to providing a short video of the experience will be acceptable. Additional details will be provided.
5. Awarded amount will be $1,250.00 or $2,500.00 USD, to be paid directly to the student using a certified check.
6. Complete, sign and submit The Celtic Heritage Alliance 2025 to 2026 Scholarship Fund Application form, through the Celtic Heritage Alliance, Scholarship page found at https://celticheritage.org/ Under the Scholarship application Tab (TBC).
*Definition of or related to Celtic Culture. Celtic culture encompasses the shared languages, traditions, and art of various peoples, primarily those from the British Isles (Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Isle of Man) and Brittany, France, who speak or once spoke Celtic languages.
Applicants will be screened by board members of the Celtic Heritage Alliance and selected awardees will be notified by electronic mail on Thursday August 14th, 2025. Notification of award must be acknowledged by student NLT than Thursday August 22nd, 2025. Failure to acknowledge award may result in forfeiture of scholarship award.
