CO-ED SLOW PITCH SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT – TEAM RULES
Location: Pinckneyville Park
Date: Saturday, July 19 (Rain Date: July 26)
Games start at 9:00 AM – Check in opens at 8:00am –
Schedule of games and kid events will be emailed to team captian before event.
Please arrive 1 hour before your 1st game to check in
Tournament Style:
This is a co-ed, just-for-fun tournament
Each team is guaranteed at least 2 games
Winning team takes home medals
Each team player will sign waivers prior to 1st game
Team Requirements:
Each team must have a minimum of 10 players.
All players must be at least 16 years of age to participate.
Waiver Requirements:
All players are required to sign a liability waiver on the day of the event prior to participating.
Players under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the liability and consent form.
- Parents may sign the form in person at check-in on the day of the event, or
we can provide the form via email in advance for completion and participants under 18 can bring signed form to the tournament.
Bat Guidelines:
Standard softball bats only – no baseball bats
Bats must be ASA or USA Softball approved
No altered or shaved bats allowed
Umpire or event organizer may disallow any bat deemed unsafe
Game Play Rules:
7 innings or 50-minute game cap
Slow pitch only – underhand with arc
No bunting
Continuous batting lineup
Courtesy runners may be used for injured players
Umpire’s decision is final
Max of 3 home runs per game- then outs (extra available for purchase before game starts)
Sportsmanship:
This is a family-friendly, community fundraiser
We’re here for fun and a great cause – be kind and play fair
No outside coolers- we will have concessions available
Refund Policy:
Because this is a fundraiser supporting Baby Sarah’s Playground, all team fees and donations are non-refundable. We appreciate your support and understanding!
