Applications Due: June 30th by Midnight ( extended to July 27th) This is a group exhibition, done in a salon style, however we aim to provide spacing so that each work can be appreciated.
Application Fee: $10 This covers operational costs, gallery overhead, promotion of artists and exhibition, printed catalog, marketing, and access to the community free of charge. This gallery is NOT a non-profit and entirely run off of personal funding by the artist/owner there for we ask kindly this small contribution, as we recieve sponsorship support or other larger donations the gallery will provide further support to artists accordingly. The goal of The 109 Gallery is to keep doors open, to provide space for artists to showcase and free and accesible admission for the public to view works and engage with art and culture.
Works delivered by mail or in person by: August 1st: Mailed work must have a return label or one to be provided by return dates of artwork if not sold. More shipping information and tips can be found in the artist agreement upon acceptance. Our curator has handled hundreds of shipments of works and is always happy to provide support as needed. We recommend UPS, but works have been mailed through a variety of providers that are affordable and safe.
Exhibition Dates: Opening Reception August 16th 2025
Artist Talk with Q&A: Artist able to attend in person are encouraged to participate in a casual and short artist talk sharing about their work, process, and inspiration with a Q&A that will take place at 6:30pm during the opening reception.
Exhibition from August 16th - September 20th
Sales: 50/50 Split: Most galleries that are not a non-profit handle sales with a 40% to artists and 60% to the gallery. We hope to provide extended support to our artists by doing a 50/50 split on works sold. If you wish not to sale your work and just want it to be shared and seen by the public, please indicate that below in that section.
Art Pick Up or Return Delivery Dates: September 21st-27th
Printed Zine Catalog: One free copy for each artist in the exhibition, those unable to pick up their copy will have it mailed when artwork is returned or picked up.
