  • To: Kroger and Albertsons Management,

We, the undersigned members of the community, are long-standing customers and view many of your stores as welcome anchors in our communities. The workers are the lifeblood of these stores. It is their hard work and dedication that make the stores successful and keep the customers coming back.

We stand in solidarity with the grocery workers represented by UFCW Local 367 who are currently negotiating for a fair contract.

These workers are essential to the health and strength of our communities. Throughout challenging times, they have shown up for us, ensuring that our families have access to the food and supplies they need. Now, it’s time for us to show up for them.

We fully support the workers’ efforts to secure:

    ·         Fair wages that keep up with the rising cost of living,

    ·         Guaranteed hours and stable schedules to support their families and plan their

              personal lives,

    ·         Safe and fully staffed stores that protect both workers and customers.

We urge your companies to negotiate in good faith, recognizing the workers’ vital contributions and addressing their reasonable demands. A strong contract benefits the workers and the communities your stores serve.

We are monitoring these negotiations closely and assure you that should a labor dispute arise, many in our community will happily stand with the workers, including exploring all our shopping options.

We hope you choose to do the right thing in these negotiations. Our community is watching, and we are ready to support these workers however necessary.

    In solidarity,
