Architecture Detectives Summer Camp
Join us for an engaging day camp at the Johnston-Felton-Hay House, designed for children ages 9-12 who have a curiosity about history and preservation! This camp will be offered twice this year: June 8-12 and June 22-26. Campers will explore Macon’s architectural heritage, learning about different styles and the significance of preserving historical structures.

Highlights of the camp include:
- A van tour with Visit Macon, tracing the area’s history from its earliest settlements at the site of what is now Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park.
- Hands-on learning about architectural and painting finishes.
- A creative experience at Historic Macon's Second Street workshop, where campers will discover and design their own projects.
By the end of the week, participants will have a deeper appreciation for how the past shapes our present and why it’s essential to preserve it for future generations.

Dates: Camp 1 - June 8 - 12 or Camp 2 - June 22 - 26

Registration for summer camp is now open. We are limited to twelve slots per camp and will offer a wait list once we reach capacity. Please note each camp features the same activities/curriculum.

Rates and Payment: Fee is $185. The last date for a refund is May 31, 2026 minus $25 processing fee.
