Volunteer Release Acknowledgement
This Volunteer Release of Liability and Waiver ("Agreement") is entered into by and between the undersigned volunteer ("Volunteer") and NeighborWorks Sacramento ("Organization").
1. Volunteer Status
The Volunteer understands that they are offering services strictly on a voluntary basis, without expectation of compensation or employment. Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment, agency, or contractor relationship.
2. Assumption of Risk
The Volunteer understands that participation may involve physical activities and exposure to certain risks, including but not limited to personal injury, illness, property damage, or other unforeseen events. The Volunteer assumes full responsibility for all risks arising from participation.
3. Release and Waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, the Volunteer releases, discharges, and holds harmless the Organization and its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or causes of action arising out of or related to the Volunteer's participation, including but not limited to those arising from negligence.
The Volunteer consents to receive medical treatment deemed necessary in the event of injury or illness during volunteer activities. The Volunteer releases the Organization from any liability for such treatment and any related costs.
Compliance with Laws and Policies
The Volunteer agrees to comply with all applicable laws and the Organization’s policies, rules, and safety procedures
Photo Release
I understand that public relations are an important part of volunteering at NeighborWorks Sacramento. On behalf of myself, my heirs, personal representatives, and executors, I allow NeighborWorks Sacramento to use any photographs taken of me for use in public relations and marketing efforts.
Also, all photographs that I submit to NeighborWorks Sacramento will remain the property of the photographer. NeighborWorks Sacramento will have the right to use these photographs for marketing materials or in any other ways that NeighborWorks Sacramento sees fit.
For Participants Under 18 Years of Age
If under 18, my parent or legal guardian gives permission to my son(s)/daughter(s) or (children) to participate in any/all NeighborWorks Sacramento activities.
