What you need to do
It’s quite simple! Read all the info, then fill in your details, pay your trial fee when it asks you to and press submit by Wednesday 21 May!
About the trials
National Prem div 3, East Region divs 1 & 2
Sunday 22 June (open trial at Sportspark, UEA)
Wednesday 23 July (by invitation)
Wednesday 30 July (by invitation)
It’s really important you do everything you can to attend our open trial.
After the open trial…
We'll let you know within 3 days if you've been successful and have secured your invite to the second two dates. These will be for fitness testing and for us to start firming up the three base squads.
Then what happens?
We’ll ask you to confirm your selection online and set up your monthly club payments.
Pre season will then run on Mondays and Wednesdays throughout August and early September. There could also be weekend pre season fixtures.
We'll share all pre season, National and Regional league dates as soon as we're able to.
About the season
Training: Monday and/or Wednesday (tbc).
Prem home matches: Sundays at Sportspark. We'll travel overnight to some away games and this season will include a weekend trip to Jersey.
East Region matches: Saturday or Sunday. Home games will be at Sportspark.
Norwich winter league: alternate Tuesdays Oct-Mar.
Norwich summer league: weekly Monday-Thursday Mar-Jul.
Unless you reach prior agreement with our head coach, you must attend training to be in contention for match day selection.
How much does everything cost?
You will need England Netball membership via the NUNC package on ENgage and you must set NUNC as your primary club. You will also subscribe to a monthly club fee paid over 10 instalments which covers everything for the season. For 24/25, this was a maximum of £38 depending on squad. We heavily subside club fees via fundraising and sponsorship.
We ask athletes to find player sponsorship to help offset the season costs. Sponsorship also helps to reduce any travel and accommodation. Funds come centrally into the club to re-distribute across our squads, so everyone works together to help each other.
One team
We expect all squad members to be positive advocates and visible to the whole club. This includes club identity on and off court (kit available from our online shop) and on all forms of social media. We encourage you to actively promote what we all do, promote each other and thank sponsors. We, of course, don’t want to see or hear anything damaging to the club, our coaches or members.
And how committed is committed?
It’s important you understand and can meet the full level of training/playing commitment set out, before you fill in this trial form.
Being invited into our peformance environment is the highest accolade within our club structure and it deserves commitment and passion from both athletes and coaches. We strive to provide a pathway with fantastic opportunities and need you fully on board.
If after reading this you have any questions or concerns, please contact our head coach at nuncheadcoach@gmail.com.
We look forward to seeing you at trials!
