• Cat Adoption Application

  • This application helps us match each cat or kitten with the best possible home. The more detail you provide, the better we can ensure a successful match.

    Please remember that a cat is a lifelong commitment, not a spur-of-the-moment decision. It can be easy to fall in love with a cute, cuddly cat when you meet them, but adopting a cat means committing to providing love, care, attention, and veterinary care for their entire lifetime. Please consider the time, financial commitment, lifestyle changes, and responsibilities that come with bringing a cat into your family.

    These animals have already been rescued once. We truly hope that their adoption will be the last time they ever need saving. Our goal is to find each cat a loving, stable, forever home where they will never have to wonder where they belong again.

    All adoptable cats are core vaccinated, spayed/neutered, dewormed, and microchipped.

    Adoption Fee:

    Senior Cats:$150

    Adult Cats & Kittens: $225

    (This helps cover the cost of the care provided by the rescue.)

    We strongly encourage adopters to keep cats indoors to protect them from potential dangers and to help ensure they have a long, healthy life.

  • Domestic cats can live up to 20 years - or even more! Are you willing to accept the responsibility of providing all basic necessities - food, water, shelter, attention, love, security, playtime, and medical care - for this cat's ENTIRE life?*

  • Veterinary Care & Costs As a responsible pet owner, your cat will need regular veterinary care, including annual wellness exams, vaccinations, and preventative care. Veterinary costs can add up, with many clinics charging $100 or more for an exam alone, before any vaccines, medications, testing, or other treatments. Unexpected illnesses or injuries can also happen, so it’s important to be financially prepared for veterinary expenses beyond routine yearly care. Please be realistic when choosing a price amount. We are not looking for a specific “right” answer, we want to know what you are genuinely comfortable and financially prepared to spend on your cat’s veterinary care. Keep in mind that unexpected medical expenses can sometimes be several hundred or even thousands of dollars.

  • All cats shed hair to some extent, and shedding can vary depending on the cat, season, and coat type. How much shedding are you comfortable with?*

  • Cats are cats! Cats of all ages can jump, run, play, get the zoomies, climb on furniture, jump on counters, scratch, explore, and find all sorts of interesting places to nap. Even the most well-behaved cat may occasionally do something you wish they wouldn’t.

  • Are you comfortable with your cat behaving like a cat and allowing them to display normal feline behaviors?

  • Scratching is a normal and important feline behavior. Cats scratch to stretch and exercise, relieve stress, mark their territory, and maintain healthy claws. Scratching is something every cat will do, so providing appropriate places for them to scratch is an important part of responsible cat ownership.

    Declawing is illegal in Alberta and is considered inhumane.

  • PLEASE NOTE: Filling out this application DOES NOT guarantee an adoption. We thoroughly evaluate all of the kittens and cats in our care, and try very hard to match the right pet to the right person and situation. Adoptions are not on a first-come first-served basis. We reserve the right not to adopt. Please remember that we are all volunteer organization. We will reply to your application as soon as it has been processed (normally 2-3 days).
