  • Our Contract Together

    This agreement outlines the practical information, boundaries and shared responsibilities relating to sessions with A Gentle Pace. Please read the following information carefully and sign to confirm your understanding and agreement.
  • Professional Standards

    A Gentle Pace is committed to providing aprofessional, safe and supportive therapeutic environment.Sessions are delivered within the boundaries ofprofessional training, competence and appropriate ethical practice, including:- confidentiality and safeguarding- respect and dignity- safe and inclusive practice- appropriate professional boundaries- ongoing professional development
  • Confidentiality & Safeguarding

    All sessions are treated confidentially. Confidentiality may need to be broken if:- there are concerns regarding serious risk of harm to yourself or others- there is a safeguarding concern involving a child or vulnerable person- information is requested through legal obligation. Where appropriate and safe to do so, this would usually be discussed with you first.
  • Communication

    A Gentle Pace can be contacted by email or text message regarding appointments and practical matters. Messages are usually responded to within 24–48 working hours, Monday to Friday. Therapeutic support is not provided via text, email or social media messaging outside of booked sessions.
  • Suitability & Safety

    You confirm that:- information provided within intake forms is accurate to the best of your knowledge- all relevant medical, psychological or safeguarding information has been disclosed- you will inform A Gentle Pace of any significant changes to health, medication or wellbeing during the course of support- sessions will be attended free from the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs. Therapeutic support provided by A Gentle Pace is not a substitute for medical, psychiatric or emergency care.
  • Payment & Cancellation

    Payment is required in advance of sessions unless otherwise agreed. Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are non-refundable.
  • Child & Young Person Sessions

    For clients under 18:- parent/carer consent is required before sessions begin- all child and teen work begins with a parent consultation- parents/carers may be asked to remain nearby or within the waiting area during sessions where appropriate- confidentiality will be explained in an age-appropriate way to the young person
  • Mutual Responsibilities

    Client Responsibilities- Attend sessions on time where possible- Communicate openly about any concerns or discomfort- Engage respectfully within sessions- Practice agreed strategies between sessions where appropriate
  • Therapist Responsibilities- Work safely and within professional competence- Maintain ethical and professional standards- Provide a respectful, inclusive and supportive environment.
  • Data Protection

    All personal information is stored securely and handled in accordance with GDPR regulations. Kay Pace is ICO registered. Information will never be shared with third parties without consent unless required for safeguarding or legal reasons.
  • Consent

    I confirm that:- I have read and understood the information above- I understand the confidentiality and safeguarding boundaries of therapy sessions- I consent to therapeutic support provided by A Gentle Pace- I understand that therapeutic outcomes cannot be guaranteed
  • Should be Empty:
