    Blossom Garden Waitlist Application

  • Blossom Gardens participates in the Local Innovation and Fast Track (LIFT) affordable housing program. All households must meet program eligibility requirements.

    UNIT TYPES, RENTS, AND INCOME LIMITS

    Blossom Gardens offers 1, 2, and 3- bedroom apartment homes at 60% and 30% Area Median Income (AMI) levels.

    Minimum Income Requirement:

    Gross household income must be equal to at least 1.5 times the tenant-paid rent unless:

    • The household receives guaranteed rental assistance for at least 6 months.
    • The household has verified assets sufficient to cover at least 6 months of rent.

    These standards guide appropriate unit size and prevent overcrowding.

    PREFERNCES AND WAITLIST MANAGEMENT

    Waitlist Placement

    Applicants are placed on the waitlist by:

    1. Verified Preference, listed in order of priority:
          a. Salem for Refugees applicants
          b. Applicants working with a Salem for Refugees referral partner
          c. Victims of domestic violence (VAWA)
          d. Persons with disabilities
          e. No preference

    2.      Date and time the waitlist application is received.

    Only one preference is allowed per household and must be verified before scheduling the full application.

    Maintaining the Waitlist

    • Applicants must respond to contact attempts within 72 hours.
    • Applicants may be removed if they: request removal, fail to respond to contact attempts, or reject unit offer.
    • Waitlist applications are not screened for income eligibility until a unit becomes available.
