  • Everyone who is taking our dogs on a husky hike must agree that the dog will be on leash at all times. *

  • Each dog will be equipped with a hiking backpack that includes various supplies including; leashes, muzzles, food, first aid kits, harnesses, etc. All supplies must be returned with the dog. We will be inspecting all items to make sure they are accounted for. *

  • Providing a picture of your drivers license is required for you to take the dog anywhere. *

  • Veterinary Care and Emergencies
    If there is a vetting emergency, please contact Danielle at (778) 835-8528 if you cannot get a hold of her you will call her husband, Jim at (778) 837-4851 or the DHTTR VP, JD at (778) 957-3466.
    If the dog is involved in a potentially life-threatening situation (i.e. dog has been attacked, bleeding excessively, has been hit by a car) and you cannot get a hold of one of us, you can take the dog to a local emergency vet. You will use your best judgment on if the situation is an emergency and can reach out to the above three contacts for clarification. *

  • Lost or Missing Dog
    You understand that if the dog is lost or goes missing that you are to contact DHTTR immediately and provide details required on the situation. These details will be used to support search efforts, delegate teams and create missing/lost dog posters and social media posts.
    You are expected to take part and assist in these search efforts. *

  • Liability
    During the time you have the dog, you are 100% liable for anything that happens while the dog is under your temporary care if you do not follow the above set guidelines or knowingly go against advice provided to you by DHTTR. This may include but is not limited to instructions to keeping the dog leashed, muzzling a dog, dog must wear a harness, and avoiding small animals, etc. *
