Business Startup Grant Guidelines

Must be a new business not yet established.

If selected as a recipient, you must agree to the following:
- Become a member of the Chamber.
- Sign an Agreement to continue membership at the Carmi Chamber of Commerce for an additional 5 years. Said agreement will be a legally binding document and if your business should default in membership due to anything other than the closure of your business, you agree to repayment of the grant in terms that are listed in said agreement.
- Agree to let the Carmi Chamber of Commerce promote you as grant recipient.
- Grant funds must be used and reported to the Chamber by an agreed-upon date between the Chamber and the recipient. The said date will be noted in the signed agreement.
You will be contacted regarding your application status after the board has reviewed said application.

Please note: The Carmi Chamber of Commerce has the right to deny any application. However, no applicant will be denied based on race, nationality, gender, age, disability, religion, or sexual orientation.
