If you have a large $ item that has a prolonged longevity (meaning can be used 10+ years) consider asking for a Capital Request. For example, last year for Boys & Girls Golf an inflatable golf range was purchased using Capital Funds. This item has an expected long life (without technology that could become outdated) and will be used by 2 sports. The WCC Board might also make the decision to move an item to a Capital Expense based on the same criteria.
