  • Complete Streets Quick Build: Morgantown Road

The City of Bowling Green recognizes the importance and desire for Complete Streets in our community. As a participant of the Complete Streets Learning Academy, the City of Bowling Green is navigating avenues to increase connectivity and safety across our transportation network. Morgantown Road is an area where we believe improvements can be made to keep drivers and pedestrians safe. Please join us in this survey to assess the need for safer roadways not only for drivers, but for cyclists and pedestrians alike!

  • This image depicts a quick build project on the side of Morgantown Road (Festival Dr. to the start of the sidewalk across from the KY National Guard) to create a visible path for pedestrians and cyclists that is separate from the traffic lane. The goal is to make the roadway safer for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists. The quick build proposes crosswalks, pavement stripes, traffic posts, artwork, and parking curbs to bridge the gap between Festival Drive and the end of the sidewalk across from the KY National Guard Office.
