Waiver and Release
I, the participant, understand and agree to the following:
- Assumption of Risk: I acknowledge that participation in the Smash-a-Car Fundraiser involves activities that may be hazardous, including but not limited to physical injury and exposure to hazardous materials. I am voluntarily participating in this activity with full knowledge of the potential risks involved and agree to assume full responsibility of any injury.
- Safety Guidelines: I agree to follow all safety instructions provided by the event organizers, including wearing required safety gear (e.g., gloves, goggles) and using equipment as directed. I understand that failure to follow safety instructions may result in being asked to leave the event without a refund or participation.
- Release of Liability: I hereby release and hold harmless the Spearfish High School, Spearfish School District, and SkillsUSA officers, employees, volunteers, affiliates, and sponsors from any and all claims, demands, injuries, damages, or causes of action, known or unknown, arising out of my participation in this event.
- Medical Treatment: In the event of an accident or emergency, I authorize event personnel to seek medical treatment on my behalf, and I accept responsibility for any resulting expenses.
- Media Release: I give permission for photos or videos taken of me at the event to be used for promotional purposes.
