Per LACDP bylaws, Article XII, Section F, subsection 1, this is the notification to all known candidates of the following:
1. The relevant endorsement meeting will take place via Zoom on Tuesday, May 13th at 7pm. The link will be posted on the LACDP website a week prior to the meeting.
2. All candidates who fill out the applicable applications and Intent to Run statements listed below by the posted deadlines and are registered Democrats by 4/21/25 will have the right to be considered for endorsement.
The following seats are eligible for Los Angeles County Democratic Party Endorsement:
- Chair
- Vice-Chair (SIF)
- Vice-Chair (OSIF)
- Secretary
- Controller
- Region 11 Director
- Region 13 Director
- Region 14 Director
- Region 15 Director
- Region 16 Director
- Region 17 Director
- Region 18 Director
- Region 19 Director
- Region 20 Director
Under the CDP's rules, all candidates must file and fill out an Intent to Run Form with the CA Democratic Party in order to be eligible for the LACDP endorsement.
The filing of this Notice of Intent to Run Declaration Form is required to be completed and submitted by only a member of the DSCC Committee (2025-27 DSCC Delegate) by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, to be eligible as a candidate for any Statewide or Regional Director Office, and this filing will be considered a nomination for that specific office. If the current officeholder for a particular position does not file the notice of intent to run by that date, the filing deadline will be extended to noon on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, for that office.
Under LACDP procedures, candidates who submit both the CADEM Intent to Run Form and this endorsement application will be eligible to be considered for LACDP endorsement at our Tuesday May 13th meeting.
