Terms and conditions - Dublin Port Company Behind-the-Scenes
Purpose
Dublin Port Company provides Behind-the-Scenes Tours to foster port–city reintegration and to share knowledge of port operations, heritage, and community engagement. In recognition of our role in the local community, a number of groups are eligible to access these tours free of charge. This policy sets out the eligibility criteria, booking procedures, and conditions for participation.
Eligibility
Tours are free of charge only for:
· Local public primary and secondary schools.
· Further and higher education institutions where the visit is clearly educational in nature and not part of a fee-paying commercial training programme (e.g. university and community college courses).
· Registered charitable organisations, community groups, and retirement homes.
The following groups are not eligible for free tours:
· For-profit education or training providers or institutions charging commercial course fees.
· Corporate or professional groups (unless otherwise arranged under partnerships or agreements).
· To book for a group that exceeds the maximum Eventbrite capacity for paid group bookings, please email info@dublinport.ie
Booking conditions
· All tours are subject to availability and capacity
· Requests must be made in advance via the official booking form.
· Groups must not exceed the maximum number of participants set for each tour (max capacity 52 people per bus)
· A responsible teacher, group leader, or organiser must accompany all participants.
· Dublin Port Company reserves the right to decline or cancel bookings that do not meet these criteria.
· For groups outside the eligible categories, private tours may be arranged subject to agreement.
