  • This is an Application Form for Admission to all OTHER year groups ONLY (2nd/3rd/TY/5th/6th Yrs), and does not constitute an offer of a place, implied or otherwise. Use of the word ‘Applicant’ throughout this Application Form refers to the person applying for Admission, and does not imply that the person on whose behalf this application is being made is regarded as having been accepted as a student of Calasanctius College.Applicants will be notified of the status of their application in a timely manner as soon as it is processed in accordance with our Admission Policy.   On receipt of an offer, Parents/Guardians will be asked to further complete an Enrolment Form and submit it along with supporting documentation by the deadline date specified in the offer letter. 

    Deadline date for applications for admission in the 2026/27 academic year is April 30th 2026.

    Should any information supplied on this application form be invalid or become invalid, it is the responsibility of Parents/Guardians to contact the School Office immediately in writing and provide information needed to update the application. Failure to do so may render an application invalid, and may result in the applicant being refused admission to the school, or may result in a later decision to enrol the applicant being revoked. 

    All applications for the 2026/27 school year will be processed in accordance with our 2026/27 Admissions Policy which is available on the school website (www.calasanctius.ie) and should be read prior to completing this application form. The information requested on this application form is required in order to process your application for admission to the school. The information provided by you will be treated confidentially and processed in line with the school's Admission Policy.

    Any personal data provided on this form will be used to:

    (i) identify applicants

    (ii) process an application in line with the school's Admission Policy

    (iii) communicate with Parents/Guardians in respect of an application

    (iv) notify Parents/Guardians of the outcome of an application

    The information will be retained for an appropriate period thereafter to address any potential queries arising from the application process or added to the student's file in the case of successful applicants.

    In accordance with section 66(6) (Admission to Schools) Act 2018 allows for a list of students who have made applications for admission to be shared with a patron or another Board of Management, in order to facilitate the efficient admission of students. The data which may be provided for this purpose may include all or any of the following:
    a) the date on which an application for admission was received by the school;
    b) the date on which an offer of admission was made by the school;
    c) the date on which an offer of admission was accepted by an applicant;
    d) a student’s personal details including his or her name, address, date of birth and personal public service number (within the meaning of Section 262 of the Social Welfare Consolidation Act 2005).


    This data may be further shared with the Department of Education for further processing to facilitate the efficient admission of students. This is in accordance with the Minister for Education’s statutory function to ensure that there is made available to each person resident in the State a level and quality of education appropriate to meeting the needs and abilities of that person and to plan and co-ordinate the provision of education in recognised schools, having regard to the resources available.

ALL communication from the school in relation to this submitted application, will be sent via email and/or text message ONLY to Parent/Guardian #1 as listed below.   • Section 4 - Special Class for Autistic Students

    The Special Class for Autism in Calasanctius College provides an education exclusively for students whose educational needs fall within the category of special educational needs provided for, by the Special Class. Applications will be processed in line with the school's Admission Policy 2026/27 and Admission Notice 2026/27. Please refer to Section 5 of the Admissions Policy 2026/27 and the recent Circular 0039/2025 for further details in relation to application to Special Class, available from the school website.
  • Please ONLY COMPLETE this section if you answered 'YES' to the above, and are applying for admission to the ASD Class. If you are not applying for the Special Class, please proceed to Section 5 below.

    As per the school's Admission Policy 2026/27 and Circular 0039/2025, applicants are eligible for enrolment in a special class for Autism when the following is provided in support of this application:

    Professional report(s) outlining:

    • Diagnosis of special educational needs (e.g. Autism: DSM IV/V or ICD 10/11; psychologist, psychiatrist,
      multi-disciplinary report)
      AND
    • A demonstration of the understanding of complexity of the child’s overall level of need/s evidenced in the
      professional reports
      AND
    • Given the severity or complexity of the child’s support needs, a clear professional recommendation as to
      what educational placement type would be most appropriate to best meet the child’s needs, along with the
      rationale for same
      AND
    • A letter from the NCSE confirming that the child is known to them and that the child has the required
      diagnosis and recommendation for a special class for Autism.

  • Section 5 - Selection Criteria for Admission in the Event of Oversubscription

    This information will assist us in determining whether the applicant meets the admission requirements in accordance with the order of priority as set out in Section 15 of the Admission Policy 2026/27 for Calasanctius College.
