    Please see the following instructions to become a Coach or Team Mom in Football or Cheer. All Head Coaches are Appointed and Voted Upon by the Board of Directors. Team Staff Members are selected by the Head Coach and approved by the Directors and Board. All Volunteer Paperwork Must Be Submitted via this Form. Volunteer Paperwork (If received after you submit this form) may be emailed to stephanie.gunter@mandarintigers.com.  All Badge Process Documentation and Online Courses must be completed by July 1st for Pop Warner coaches in order to have your badge ready for July 15th. All documents & forms are confidential and kept in secure files only accessible by the Volunteer Coordinator. The Association welcomes Student Volunteers! However, Pop Warner and its partners may contact you with essential program information as well as special offers and promotions.  Please be advised that partners are not permitted to retain your information for non-Pop Warner use unless you specifically grant them permission.  Please contact the PWLS National Office in writing for opt out information.

    I hereby attest that all information provided on this application is true and complete.  If I am accepted as a volunteer, Pop Warner may end the relationship immediately if I have made any false statements or material misrepresentations.  As a condition of volunteering, I hereby grant permission for Pop Warner to conduct a background check on me, which may include a review of database records including but not limited to sex offender registries, child abuse and criminal history records, in compliance with Pop Warner's child protection policy. I understand and agree that, if appointed, my position is conditional upon the league receiving no inappropriate information on my background. I hereby release and agree to hold harmless from liability Pop Warner Little Scholars, Incorporated, its affiliated leagues and associations, the officers, employees and volunteers thereof, and/or any other person or organization that may provide such information.

    I also understand that, regardless of previous appointments, Pop Warner is not obligated to appoint me to a volunteer position.  I understand that, prior to the expiration of my term, I am subject to suspension by the President and removal by the Board of Directors for any and all violations of Pop Warner policies or principles.  Furthermore, I hereby attest that all contact information provided herein is up to date and I hereby grant Pop Warner Little Scholars. Inc. and its partners permission to utilize such contact information for communications and promotions during my tenure as a volunteer.

    Binding Arbitration Policy:

    If appointed, I hereby understand and agree that any and all civil disputes by and between myself, Pop Warner and any and all affiliated parties will be subject to binding arbitration in the locale of the Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. National Office in Langhorne, PA in accordance with Pennsylvania law under the guidelines and rules of the American Arbitration Association.  I hereby agree that this binding arbitration shall be in lieu of any litigation by and between myself, Pop Warner and any and all affiliated parties.  If any portion of this application shall be deemed unenforceable or invalid, this arbitration agreement shall still remain in full force and effect.

    Coaches Contract and Agreement
    2025 Football/Cheer Season
    All coaches are required to read this contract and sign the document prior to coaching.
    In doing so, you acknowledge your understanding and willingness to comply with
    ASSOCIATION policies.
    ASSOCIATION was formed to promote youth football and cheer in or area. 

    MAA adheres to the following guidelines, including:
    • ASSOCIATION is a Pop Warner Association and places an emphasis on teaching the
    fundamentals of football and cheer with a focus on scholastic development.
    • ASSOCIATION follows the rules and regulations of Pop Warner Football and Cheer.
    • ASSOCIATION promotes sportsmanship, team play, leadership and personal development.
    COACHES:
    • ASSOCIATION asks you to remember you are teaching young athletes. These players
    have different readiness levels for playing football or cheer and it is important to
    teach them at a level that they understand. You are to act as a positive role
    model, demonstrating behavior that players can respect and aspire to follow in all
    areas including with language to the players and with Social Media Platforms.
    • Coaches should expect that if they behave outside of the rules of ASSOCIATION and Pop
    Warner that they could face removal from our program. ASSOCIATION reserves the right to
    terminate the coaching privileges of any coach who fails to comply with ASSOCIATION and
    Pop Warner guidelines or acts in a manner conflicting with the standards of the
    organization. ASSOCIATION will play and abide by the Pop Warner, Greater Jacksonville
    Pop Warner and ASSOCIATION Board Approved Rules.
    • Greater Jacksonville will conduct a background check of all coaches who intend to
    volunteer within ASSOCIATION. We reserve the right to exclude volunteers from coaching
    within ASSOCIATION based on the findings of the background check. You will only be
    notified if you need to be asked to remove yourself from the program.
    • The Head Football coach will receive an equipment kit which will include a first
    aid kit, equipment repair kit, game ball and assorted items such as mouth pieces,
    chin straps, etc. This kit needs to be kept clean and in good shape and will be
    returned to the association at the conclusion of the season for reuse next season.
    • Head Coaches are required to notify the Coordinators (Football/Cheer) and the ASSOCIATION President and Vice President of any injuries sustained by a player during practices and games within 24 of the injury occurring as well as complete the injury report form with the Coordinators for ASSOCIATION records. Coaches will not allow a previously injured player to return to practices/games without documentation from a medical professional that has been reviewed and approved by the Coordinators, ASSOCIATION President/Vice President.

    This background check must be done every year. The results for this background will be sent directly to the City of Jacksonville Athletics Department. Your association will be notified if you qualify for volunteering.

    Southeast Region ONLINE CLINICS ONLY: This includes clinics for returning coaches, team moms etc.
