STEP 2 (HOME):

Please contact us at 1-855-452-6292 or text us at 647-689-6080 to automatically receive a Form 15 to fill out and we will coordinate the pick up from the home.

STEP 2 (HOSPITAL):

Upon death, please fill out the Form 15 (Statement of Death) and submit. The Funeral Services team will receive the document and will call you back within 1 hour from:

6am to 1pm &

4pm to 10pm

Forms and calls received after 10pm will be responded to the morning between 7am and 8am. 

Please note, that our burials generally occur between 1pm and 4pm so there may be some delay in responses during this time. 

STEP 3:

Once the release has been confirmed (and form 15 has been submitted), we will then contact the cemetery for a booking. We try our utmost to get the earliest booking available to not delay the burial, but it all depends on how busy the cemetery is. The cemetery will then contact the family for payment of the opening and closing of the grave.

STEP 4 (ARRANGING GHUSAL/WASHING OF THE DECEASED):

Once the booking is confirmed, we will then arrange the ghusl for the deceased. The ghusl will be scheduled between 9am or 11am the day of the funeral at ISNA (2200 South Sheridan Way, Mississauga). The ISNA Funeral Coordinator will advise you of the time. 

We have a dedicated group of trained volunteers for the ghusl. We also allow up to four (4) family members to join if they wish to. Please communicate if any members of the family will be joining so we can arrange the appropriate number of volunteers. 

STEP 5 (VIEWING OF THE DECEASED):

After the ghusl, we allow the family to have a viewing (if they wish). The Viewing will end about 10 minutes before the Dhuhr salaah.

STEP 6 (JANAZA PRAYER):

The funeral prayer (Janaza prayer) will take place after the Dhuhr prayers. 

STEP 7 (BURIAL PROCESS): 

After the Janaza prayers, we will then proceed to the cemetery. The Imam will be present there to guide the family on the procedure at the cemetery until the burial is completed.
