  • Communication & Decision Making

  • Non-violent communication practices are important to us at The Elder Tree. We run a weekend training session every year for members and we hope that you can join us. All core members of the management committee and operations committee are expected to do this training annually. We see this as an important focus for creating and maintaining functional communities. Until the next training, you can find great resources online and books about the subject.

We also aim to have annual training in sociocratic decision making. This is a wonderful system of decision making which is efficient and ensures that all voices are heard and that there is no hierarchy in the decision making process.

  • Agreements & Acknowledgements

  • Please read our Code of Conduct outlining expectations around respectful behavior, inclusively and shared values within The Elder Tree.

This is particularly important for all volunteers of The Elder Tree and all people who work alongside us to agree to the code of conduct.  If you are planning to volunteer for The Elder Tree then please print and sign and return the final page of the Code of Conduct.  Return to:   info@theeldertree.org
