1. Purpose
This Agreement sets out the terms and expectations for contractors engaged to provide delivery services for Volt Logistics "Volt"
2. General Expectations
Contractors agree to:
- Represent Volt professionally at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold privacy obligations, especially in handling medical goods.
- Ensure their vehicle is clean, roadworthy, and suitable for medical logistics tasks.
3. Minimum Performance Standards
Contractors are expected to:
- Be punctual for all rostered shifts.
- Maintain reliable communication with the Operations Team.
- Treat all customers, clients, and colleagues with courtesy and respect.
- Fulfill all allocated deliveries in a timely and safe manner.
4. Use of Roster & Shift Management
- Shifts are allocated via the Volt Logistics App.
- Contractors must only pick up shifts they are confident they can complete.
- A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to cancel any accepted shift.
- Repeated cancellations, late withdrawals, or no-shows may result in suspension or termination of the contract.
5. App Usage Requirements
- Check in via the App at the beginning of their shift and check out at the end. Use the app to confirm pickups and drop-offs, including uploading geotagged and timestamped proof of delivery.
- Keep the app active during shifts for real-time communication and tracking.
- Ensure mobile devices are charged and functional during shifts.
6. Payment Conditions
- Payment is calculated based on verified check-in/check-out times and completed jobs via the app.
- Failure to check in or out properly may lead to payment delays or disputes.
- Payments are made weekly via bank transfer to the contractor's nominated account.
7. Dress Code
Contractors must adhere to the following dress code:
- Wear clean and neat clothing appropriate for customer-facing roles.
- Enclosed footwear is mandatory.
- Volt-branded high-visibility vests or uniforms (if provided) must be worn while on shift.
- No offensive or inappropriate graphics, slogans, or branding is permitted.
- Personal hygiene must be maintained at all times.
8. Incident Reporting
All incidents must be reported immediately, including but not limited to:
- Vehicle accidents or breakdowns.
- Lost, damaged, or compromised medical items.
- Threatening or inappropriate customer behavior.
- Any situation that may affect the safety, timeliness, or integrity of deliveries.
Reports must be submitted through the App or directly to the Volt Logistics Operations Team via phone or email, preferably within 1 hour of the incident occurring.
9. Accountability & Conduct
- Accept full responsibility for shifts they pick up.
- Not delegate their shift to any third party unless pre-approved in writing by Volt.
- Avoid engaging in conduct that could bring Volt into disrepute.
10. Confidentiality & Compliance
- All data accessed during deliveries is confidential.
- Contractors must comply with all relevant health, safety, and privacy regulations.
11. Termination
Volt reserves the right to:
- Terminate this Agreement at any time with written notice.
- Suspend or remove contractors from the roster for non-compliance, poor performance, or misconduct.
12. Acknowledgment
By signing this Agreement, the Contractor confirms they understand and agree to all terms above.
