  • Located alongside our one-of-a-kind river and construction-themed playground, the PlayPort Event Building offers adynamic setting for your next gathering. The event building is a versatile venue for birthday parties, business meetings, corporate retreats, luncheons, receptions, and more.  Maximum building occupancy is 100 people.

  • Hours of Operation

    Daytime Events: start and end between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    Evening Events: start or end between 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM

  • User Fee Structure

    Weekday Daytime Event

             1 to 4 hours:  $300

             4 to 8 hours:  $500

    Weekday Evening Event 

             $800

    Weekend Daytime Event

              1 to 4 hours:  $500

              4 to 8 hours:  $800

    Weekend Evening Event 

              $1,000

     Birthday Parties for Children 12 and Under

              2-hours (10:00AM - 12:00PM or 2:00PM – 4:00PM):  $400.00

    • Maximum 30 children
    • Use of public playground and private venue building.
    • Includes – construction themed centerpieces for the tables, banner, paper plates napkins.
    • Renter is responsible for providing their own birthday dessert, drinks, and snacks.

    Damage Deposit

    Required Deposit: A refundable damage deposit must be paid along with the user fee:

    $250 – Weekday daytime event and birthday parties
    $500 – Weekday evening event, Weekend daytime or evening event
    If the premises is not returned to its original condition, the cleaning fee will be deducted from the deposit.
    Remaining balance of deposit (if any) will be refunded within 14 days after the event. 

    Nonprofit Organization – 15% Discount

  • Rental Terms and Conditions

    1. Reservation Date: Waterfront Park needs a minimum of 30 days’ notice prior to a reservation.
    2. Payment: Full payment is required to reserve the date. All balances must be paid to Waterfront Park promptly when invoice is received.  Payments may be made by credit card or check (payable to Waterfront Park).
    3. Conduct: Renters are responsible for the conduct of participants while at the event building and assume liability for injuries, property damage, theft, or loss during the rental period. Violations may result in denial of future reservation requests.
    4. Cancellation:

    • If cancelled 14 or more days prior to the event, the deposit will be refunded.
    • If cancelled less than 14 days prior to the event, the deposit will be forfeited.
    • There are no refunds for rainy days.

    5. Returned Checks: $50 fee for any returned check.
    6. Setup and Cleanup:

    • All events may access the venue 30 minutes in advance of the scheduled event start time for set up; cleanup and load out must be complete no more than 30 minutes after the event end time. 
    • If an event needs additional time for load in or load out, this would be subject to availability and would need Waterfront Park approval.
    • The event building must be left in the condition it was found, including the kitchen/prep area and restrooms. Food, beverages, equipment, trash, and supplies must be removed immediately after use. Spillage must be cleaned promptly.

    Additional Requirements

    All events shall end by the approved time reflected on the invoice and all persons must vacate the premises.

    Late Hours Fee:

    With Prior Approval: $150/hour

    Without Approval: $250/hour

    Liability Insurance: Waterfront Park reserves the right to require special event liability insurance for renters and caterers. If required, Certificates of Insurance must name Waterfront Development Corporation as additionally insured and be submitted 14 days prior to the event.

    No Smoking: PlayPort is tobacco-free; smoking, vaping, and e-cigarettes are not allowed inside the building, within the play areas of PlayPort, or any surrounding park property.

    Parking: Free parking. Guests may park in the Aqua Parking Lot or on surrounding streets. Unauthorized parking may result in towing.

    Pets: Only service animals are permitted per ADA guidelines. Therapy animals are not allowed.

    Supervision: For their safety, please supervise children at all times.

    Building Access: A “private event” sign will be set in front of the doors parallel to the playground. It is the responsibility of the renter to control guests access into the building during the duration of their event.

    Lost, Stolen, or Missing Items: Waterfront Park is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or missing items.

    Trash/Litter: Trash must be properly disposed of in garbage bags or trash bins. All trash will need to be set outside the back door of the building and liners replaced in trash cans.

    Damage to Building or Property: Renters will be held liable for any damage to the event building or surrounding property.

    Waterfront Development Corporation reserves the right to ask a visitor to leave for inappropriate or offensive behavior.
