  • Note to Parents/Guardians

    I will be responsible for arranging transportation to and from the camp. I hereby release the Florida Hindu Organization Inc., it’s Board of Directors, Officers, Camp Organizers and all personnel connected therewith, of any liability for any accidents or injuries which may occur while attending. In the event of an emergency where treatment by a doctor is deemed necessary, I hereby give permission for a representative of the Florida Hindu Organization Inc. to authorize physician(s) and hospital personnel to give my child/ward anesthesia and/or perform whatever medical and/or surgical treatment is deemed necessary at such time in my child’s/ward best interest. My health insurance provider and/or I am completely responsible for the payment of all expenses for any kind of medical and/or surgical treatment as a result of my child’s/ward’s participation in the camp.

    1. What time should I drop off my kids? The Mandir gates will be open by 8:30am. Camp starts promptly at 9am.  2. What is the latest time I can pick up my children? Camp finishes promptly at 5pm. The latest pick up time is 5:15pm.  3. How much does it cost to attend the camp? $25 per camper.  4. What type of food is served during camp? Campers will be served a vegetarian lunch, in addition to snacks in the morning and afternoon. 
  • Camp Rules

    Campers are NOT allowed to leave the Shiva Mandir grounds without permission from teachers. NO exceptions. Campers must wear loose fitting clothes only. Girls must wear long pants (no jeans) and T-Shirts. Boys can wear either ¾ pants or long pants (no short pants) and T-Shirts. (Required because of exercises and other activities). Campers must wear their name badges at all times while in camp. Campers must leave their folders, name badges and all other loaned materials (pens, pencils, etc.) with their group leaders before going home. The group leaders must safely store all loaned materials ingroup boxes at the end of the day. Every morning campers must report to their group leaders (or co-leaders) to get their folders and name badges. Only the group leaders are allowed to access the group boxes. Every morning group leaders must give attendance report to camp leaders. Campers are required to show respect to all camp leaders, group leaders and co-leaders at all times. Campers must listen and follow instructions given to them. Both parent/guardian and camper have read, understood and agree to the above.
