  • Welcome to the IACDE Accreditation Application

    Thank you for your interest in seeking accreditation through the International Accrediting Commission for Digital Education (IACDE).

    Eligibility

    Institutions and organizations are eligible to apply if they:

    • Deliver education, training, or credentialing programs primarily through online, hybrid, or digital platforms;
    • Operate as a university, college, academy, institute, school, certification provider, professional association, or specialized training body;
    • Align with IACDE’s mission to promote quality, integrity, and innovation in digital education.

    IACDE offers two paths to recognition:

    • Institutional Accreditation – for accrediting the entire institution.
    • Programmatic Accreditation – for accrediting specific programs, departments, or offerings.

    Candidate Status is open to all institutions or programs that meet these eligibility requirements and are ready to engage in the accreditation process.

    Full Accreditation is awarded only after demonstrating a minimum of one year of continuous operation, including documentation of student outcomes and institutional effectiveness.

  • Accreditation Application Fees and Payment Structure

    The International Accrediting Commission for Digital Education (IACDE) requires the following fees throughout the accreditation process:

    • Application Fee ($600–$650 + 5% surcharge)  — Due at the time of application. Non-refundable. Covers the initial eligibility review for Candidate Status.
    • Candidate Recognition Fee ($650 + 5% surcharge) — Due upon approval for Candidate Status, before issuance of the Candidate Badge, Candidate Directory Listing, and advisor support access. Institutions selecting only the Application Fee at this time will receive a separate invoice for the Candidate Recognition Fee once approved.
    • Full Accreditation Fee
      - Small (1–250 students): $2,500 + 5%
      - Medium (251–1,000 students): $3,000 + 5%
      - Large (1,001+ students): $4,000 + 5%
       — Due upon submission of the Self-Study and prior to peer review. Institutions will receive a separate invoice for the Full Accreditation Fee at the time of Self-Study submission.
    • Annual Accreditation Maintenance Fee ($500/year + 5% surcharge) — Payable each year after full accreditation is awarded to maintain active accreditation status and public listing.

    Applicants must pay the Application Fee at the time of submission. Institutions approved for Candidate Status will be invoiced for the Candidate Recognition Fee. Institutions submitting their Self-Study for full accreditation will be invoiced separately for the Full Accreditation Fee.

    * A 5% administrative surcharge is applied to all fees to account for inflation, operational costs, and annual review adjustments. Final invoice totals will reflect this surcharge.

    Please select your preferred payment option. Applicants who pay only the Application Fee will be invoiced separately for the Candidate Recognition Fee after candidacy approval. If you prefer to pay by bank draft, please email us at accreditation@iacde.org for instructions and mailing details. Kindly include your institution name and the purpose of payment in your message.

  • Important Final Notes:

    • The Application Fee is non-refundable, regardless of the final outcome of the application review.
    • Submission of the application and payment of the Application Fee does not automatically guarantee approval for Candidate Status or full accreditation.
    • Candidate Status will only be granted after submission of the required documents demonstrating basic eligibility and operational readiness.
    • Institutions granted Candidate Status will have up to two (2) year to address any discrepancies, complete the Self-Study, and meet all accreditation standards.
    • Full Accreditation is awarded only after successful completion of the Self-Study, peer review, and full compliance with all IACDE standards.
    • IACDE reserves the right to request additional documentation, delay candidacy or accreditation review, or deny applications based on eligibility, compliance, or organizational integrity concerns.
