Rising Star Nominations
The VAFA awards a Rising Star nomination to one male and one female player each round of the home and away season.

A Rising Star nominee is an emerging young talent making a sound impact on their team. This nomination serves to recognise ability and potential. The Rising Star Committee will consider both a player's body of work across the season as well as outstanding individual performances.

Refer to the eligibility criteria below:
- Eligible players must be 20 years of age or under by October 31 of the current season.
- Eligible players must have played no more than 7 senior matches prior to the current season.
