  • As the Bentley Library is a public space, any filming or photography projects must be reviewed and permission granted ahead of time by library administration to minimize disruption to those visiting the library for work or study.

    Filming/Photography Guidelines

    • Anyone not affiliated with the filming or photography staff must provide their consent prior to being recorded or photographed. Please honor the wishes of those who do not grant permission. For anyone under the age of 18, consent must be obtained from a parent or guardian.
    • Respect library spaces and furniture. Please do not move or remove items including furniture without prior permission.

    Exemptions

    Exemptions to this policy that do not require permission ahead of time using this form may include:

    • Photos of Bentley Library spaces that do not include people.
    • Visitors to the library on campus tours taking pictures/recording for personal use.

    Timelines & Process

    • Requests should be submitted using the following form 48 hours or 2 days ahead of first preferred date.
    • You will receive a response from library administration within 24 hours of form submission.
    • The Bentley Library may deny requests during peak times of library operation in the semester and will not approve requests during exam periods.
    • All filming/photography shoots will take place during regular library hours of operation. However, all shoots must be wrapped up a half hour before closing time on the day of the shoot.

    This form should be used for non-commercial inquiries such as student and faculty projects. Commercial inquiries should contact Bentley University’s Marketing and Communications office at brand@bentley.edu.
